Hawthorn is a very surprising plant, from the Rosaceae family, which is nicknamed "white thorn". It’s the plant of the heart! Bud macerate combines the action on the heart rate and tension of the flower, and the action on the heart muscle of the fruit. In short, it is preferred for the fragile of heart. Hawthorn bud macerate will be very suitable for situations of hypertension and hypotension, arrhythmia, insomnia. Latin name: Crataegus laevigata (Poir.) DC. Part used: Fresh buds and/or young shoots

Adults and adolescents : 5 to 15 drops per day in a glass of water, divided into 1 to 3 doses during the day depending on the case, 15 minutes before a meal for 3 weeks. Start with 5 drops and increase gradually:
Children over 3 years old : 1 drop per day for 10 kilos. Start with 1 drop and gradually increase.
Hawthorn can be used in combination with macerate of buds of Oak, preferably taken in the morning, which stimulates the production of adrenal hormones.
If Hawthorn is a cardiac regulator, it is interesting to combine it with a bud macerate with calming properties in cases of palpitations, such as Linden.
Hawthorn and Linden form a duo of bud macerates that are very useful when the heart is racing, in cases of tachycardia for example. They will thus regulate the heart rate in order to calm it down.
Hawthorn can be combined with other bud macerates with hypothyroid action to act against hyperthyroidism: Bloody Dogwood and the Viburnum.
cardiac regulator :
hawthorn is the plant of the heart par excellence. It is a regulator of nervous and cardiac contractile activity. It strengthens the systole and contractile action of the heart and tones the myocardium. Hawthorn bud macerate is, in short, indicated for all disorders linked to heart rhythm. It also acts as an anti-thrombophilic and antispasmodic. It is also a great remedy for functional arrhythmias. It has the ability to normalize blood pressure intelligently, and thus acts in cases of both hypotension and hypertension.
vasodilator :
hawthorn improves coronary blood flow through a coronodilatory action. It induces better irrigation of the heart, and thus better cardiac resistance. It protects the heart from aging. It also improves cerebral blood circulation and acts on sleep to make it more restful.
sedative :
hawthorn has anxiolytic and sympathicolytic properties. Its bud macerate acts as a sedative for the nervous system when it can no longer go to sleep.
antisclerotic :
hawthorn bud macerate fights against hardening and degeneration of arterial walls. Its antisclerotic action is also visible on lung tissues. It is therefore preferred when the breathing difficulties are directly linked to the heart, when the synchronicity between the heart and the lungs is disrupted.
