The Olive tree, from the Oleaceae family, is a very well-known tree in the Mediterranean basin. Its famous olive, like its oil, no longer has its reputation, but its young shoots can also be used to make a little-known rejuvenating macerate. It is a “companion” macerate which invites calm and is particularly suited to temperaments with “fire” (pitta dosha in Ayurveda). It will thus calm hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias, and invites calm and mental balance. It brings comfort and softness to anxious elderly people who have to cope with the decline in their intellectual abilities. Finally, it has a balancing role on cholesterol and blood sugar. Latin name: Olea europaea L. Part used: young shoots

Synergistic uses

    Cholesterol

Olivier can be used with macerates of buds of Rosemary or Juniper, both liver stimulants, to promote lipid metabolism.

    Hypertension

Olivier is hypotensive, it can be combined with macerate of olive buds.Hawthorn, great cardiac regulator, and macerate of buds of Linden for its sedative action.

    Memory problems

Olivier bud macerate is often associated with bud macerates of Oak or Sequoia, intellectual tonics, as well asGlutinous Alder to improve cerebral circulation.

Main properties

  • hypolipidemic, hypoglycemic :

olivier bud macerate acts on two levels: metabolic and vascular. At the metabolic level, it promotes good assimilation of lipids. It helps reduce bad cholesterol and triglycerides. It also allows a rebalancing of phospholipids, and has a discreet diuretic action. This effect on lipids makes it useful in brain failure. Indeed, fatty substances are essential for brain function since the myelin sheath, surrounding the neurons, is composed of lipids. Olivier thus stimulates the repair of scar tissue during brain damage. It is used to improve memory, especially in the elderly, and brain activity. Finally, it is useful in cases of phobic or obsessive neuroses.

  • blood thinner, antisclerotic, vasculoprotective :

completely complementary to its action on the metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates, Olivier acts at the vascular level. It has antiatheromatous and protective activity of blood tissues, helps fight against sclerosis of the vascular walls and gently tones the heart muscle. It reduces the hyperviscosity of the blood. It is, in short, a general vasoprotector. Overall, it promotes good blood circulation. Finally, we find this action at the cerebral level, where it promotes circulation, hence the benefits in cerebral vasculopathies and memory disorders.

  • hypotensive :

The macerate of young Olivier shoots is hypotensive, because it has vasodilator properties, which dilates the arteries and makes them more elastic. Thus, thanks to the peripheral vasodilation of the smooth muscle fibers of the vessels, the tension is reduced and it is therefore very useful in cases of high blood pressure.

Precautions for use

  • Olivier bud macerate is a herbal food supplement. It does not replace a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. It is important to keep it out of the reach of children and not to exceed the recommended daily dose. Dosages must be adapted for young children.
  • Olivier bud macerate is authorized for the whole family, except for babies under 3 years old and pregnant women.
  • Seek medical advice if taking blood thinners.
  • Store away from light and heat.
