Hyperactivity takes its name from the scientific term: ADHD. This Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is rarer in adults than in children. The 3 main symptoms nevertheless remain mainly the same: an attention disorder characterized by a person who becomes distracted very easily, impulsive behavior characterized by unusual reactions, motor hyperactivity characterized by progressive and sudden activity of a limb . To deal with this, certain essential oils with calming properties can modulate these symptoms.

Why these essential oils?

The reference for calming oils: Roman Chamomile

L'roman Chamomile essential oil is THE reference for calming and antispasmodic essential oils. The monoterpene esters which mainly make up this essential oil are very active. They will calm stress and promote sleep. These molecules will have a positive effect on concentration which will increase work capacity.

In addition, the majority of isobutyl angelate is the most spasmolytic ester. It will calm motor hyperactivity by reducing spasms, reflexes which are not voluntary and by promoting immobility. It is therefore essential in this synergy against hyperactivity.

The champion of anti-stress oils: Petit Grain Bigarade

L'essential oil of Petit Grain Bigarade is generally used to manage stress and small everyday problems. It contains monoterpene esters and alcohols which are the most calming and relaxing molecules. The combination of these two molecules makes it very powerful.

Linalool will stimulate the central nervous system via acetylcholine receptors (neurotransmitter which transmits information from one neuron to another) which causes an alert and concentration reaction and therefore will calm the person . It will reinforce the action of the monoterpene esters of Roman Chamomile essential oil.

Green Mandarin to moderate stimulation of the nervous system

L'green Mandarin essential oil is very appreciated for its pleasant smell and its calming and soothing properties. It acts on the sympathetic nervous system, which corresponds to putting the body into a state of alert and preparing it for physical (muscles) and intellectual activity. It has a moderating role, that is to say it will modulate the body's response to stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system, limiting it if necessary. It will therefore help calm the symptoms of hyperactivity.

In addition, it is slightly hypnotic and prepares you for sleep. Its calming action remains quite moderate but sufficient and suitable for a child.

Why this vegetable oil?

Hazelnut vegetable oil

L’hazelnut vegetable oil is a very gentle oil, ideal for diluting essential oils when used on children. Its penetrating texture allows essential oils to pass easily into the body, for rapid and safe action. It will not leave a greasy film on the surface of the skin. In addition, its composition rich in fatty acids makes it a very softening and nourishing oil: a nice little extra when using a synergy!
