A fan of rocky soils, Italian Helichrysum is found all over the Mediterranean. Its nickname Immortelle refers to its yellow flowers which, even when cut, never fade. Its rarity and low yield make it a very precious essential oil, just like its hydrosol. We also find the same properties there! Italian Helichrysum hydrosol is very active on the circulation to relieve bruises, bumps and scars. It will also work miracles on the face, for mature and acne-prone skin. Latin name: Helichrysum italicum G. Don. Distilled part: flowering tops

Main properties

  • anti-hematoma :

it has been demonstrated that italidiones, largely present in the essential oil and in smaller quantities in the hydrosol, help to promote the resorption of bruises and hematomas after shock, but also to prevent their appearance.

  • circulatory :

italian Helichrysum hydrosol promotes circulation throughout the body. It activates peripheral microcirculation, and has a slight vasoconstrictor action. It thus helps relieve all small venous problems such as hemorrhoids, heavy legs, rosacea, etc.

  • healing :

italian Helichrysum hydrosol has a great healing action, it helps to reduce blistered, acne or post-operative scars.

  • anti-inflammatory :

italian Helichrysum has the ability to calm skin inflammations, so it acts as well on itching as on redness or inflammatory pain. The hydrosol is therefore ideal for skin irritated and damaged by eczema, psoriasis, but also acne.

  • purifying :

italian Helichrysum hydrosol has a purifying action on the blood system, but also on certain organs such as the pancreas or the gallbladder. It thus facilitates the elimination of toxins from the body.

  • anti-oxidant :

the diones present in Italian Helichrysum hydrosol help fight against skin aging. Italian Helichrysum has been proven to have a significant effect on preventing skin wrinkles.

  • mucolytic :

the presence of eucalyptol in Italian Helichrysum hydrosol gives it mucolytic properties in order to thin the mucus in the respiratory tract.
