Sunburns are unfortunately a regular part of summer. These burns are due to too intense exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun. They trigger an inflammatory response in the skin which manifests itself as redness and pain. Long-term sunburn can be dangerous for your health and lead to skin cancer. This is why it is very important to protect yourself and use sunscreen before each exposure to the sun.

Why these essential oils?

Geranium Rosat regenerates tissues

L'geranium Rosat essential oil is widely used for skin problems. The presence of large quantities of monoterpene alcohols gives it skin tonic and astringent properties. It will help the body to better repair the skin when it gets rid of cells damaged by the sun, that is to say when it peels. It will stimulate the synthesis of cells which constitute 90% of the epidermis, inhibit inflammation and keep the environment sanitized, which will promote the scarring process. It will therefore tone, firm and regenerate skin damaged by the sun.

In addition, the monoterpene alcohols and esters will reinforce the anesthetic action of Lavender Aspic essential oil and the healing property of the synergy.

Lavender Aspic: the reference against burns

L'lavender Aspic essential oil is recognized for its effectiveness in cases of sunburn. These burns cause more or less intense skin pain.

The majority of linalool (25 to 50%) has a local anesthetic property. It stimulates the morphine receptors that control pain and releases small analgesic proteins, enkephalins. This results in an inhibition of the transmission of the pain message to the brain. In addition, the linalool-camphor couple makes Lavender Aspic essential oil a powerful healing agent.

Fine Lavender fights pain

Sunburns are generally accompanied by sharp pain at the slightest friction (clothing, bed, etc.). Linalool present here between 25 and 50% in thefine Lavender essential oil is a good local anesthetic. It acts through nociceptive receptors, located on the surface of the skin, which transmit the pain message to the brain via nociceptive fibers. Linalool will inhibit the transmission of this message between these receptors and the brain, which suppresses the sensation of pain.

In addition, linalool will reinforce the healing and skin regenerating action of the other molecules of Rosat Geranium essential oil.

Why these vegetable oils?

Apricot Kernel Vegetable Oil

The sun often causes premature aging of the skin. We must therefore counter this effect of the sun. This is where theapricot Kernel vegetable oil : its fatty acids will allow a firming action on the skin, to revitalize and tone it. By strengthening the skin's protective hydrolipidic film, Apricot Kernel helps Calendula in its role in nourishing the skin, and restores all of its elasticity to the skin. Very penetrating, it will allow essential oils to easily pass the skin barrier to repair the dermis in depth.

Calendula oily macerate

THE calendula oily macerate is very renowned for its anti-inflammatory power, essential for relieving a sunburn. It is thanks to a compound naturally present in this oil, faradiol, that Calendula will relieve skin inflammation. In addition to inflammation, a sunburn is always accompanied by dryness of the skin. The fatty acids present in Calendula oil will allow this synergy to nourish and heal the skin. The sunburn will only be a bad memory!
